I’m Sophia Araujo Jacobs, a graphic designer and illustrator who loves turning ideas into thoughtful visual experiences.
For the past six years, I've worked across brand identity, digital design, email marketing, web, print, presentations, illustration, and experiential design. Most recently, as a longtime creative partner to speaker, author, and founder Michelle Poler.

VELVAERE
Designing an invitation to slow down.
BFA Capstone · Research · Experience Design · Print · Interaction
Velvære began with burnout and a question: how can design help us slow down and reconnect with the present in an increasingly fast-paced world?
Through interactive prompts, physical making, and augmented-reality elements, I designed an experience that invited people to step away from passive consumption, engage with their intuition, and create without judgment.
While researching Velvære, I discovered Wilde House Paper and found a brand exploring many of the same ideas I was thinking about: presence, creativity, reflection, and intentional living. Wilde House became one of my references for the project and a creative resource I’ve continued coming back to ever since.
MICHELLE POLER
Six years of designing across one evolving creative ecosystem.
As Michelle Poler’s longtime creative partner, I’ve helped translate her ideas into visual experiences across multiple brands, audiences, and platforms.
My role has grown far beyond executing individual assets. I've helped develop and maintain visual systems while collaborating across strategy, copy, marketing, events, and production while taking projects from early ideas through final delivery.

MAPKI
Creative journey companion app.
Creativity • Organization • Digital thinking.
2nd place at “The100Show” in SLC, UT
Mapki is a concept app designed to help creatives reconnect with their curiosity through prompts, challenges, and small acts of making.
I developed the project from early research and idea mapping through visual identity, user experience, illustration, and interface design, exploring how a digital tool could encourage creativity without the pressure to be perfect.
How I Work
Curious by nature
I like understanding the why before designing the what.
Big-picture + tiny details
I love building systems and obsessing over the little pieces that make them feel human.
Cross-medium
Brand, email, web, print, presentations, illustration and physical experiences.
Collaborative
Some of my favorite work has come from building alongside writers, strategists, founders and other creatives.
My portfolio moves through a lot of color, illustration, typography, and visual personalities because I believe the visual language should grow from the idea, audience, and brand
